This Festive Cocktail – The Method
WThis is a home-style take on a beverage featured on the seasonal cocktail list. This is a batch premix which is loaded with the tastes associated with holiday season, which makes it perfect for your holiday party. Save the extra citrus syrup for morning drinks, puddings, or to mix more rounds of the drink.

Serves 10 people
For the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Premix (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
For the Cordial: Place the listed components inside a pot, bring to a light boil, mixing to dissolve. Then, turn off the heat and let it to cool fully. Transfer to a clean bottle, close it keeping it chilled, it will last for about four weeks.
To make Premix: Combine the specified liquid ingredients into one big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml of the premix to a stirring glass packed with ice, and agitate lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour to a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, garnish with some cranberries and finish using a quick spritz of mandarin oil above the glass.
