I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
